Well we’re into week three and Ajax is changing everyday. He now seems mildly interested in his rattle, which I now wave in front of him. He’s also making more cooing noises and he’s starting to look less crazy as he flails his little arms and legs about. He’s also starting to get more fussy periods where he doesn’t really know what he wants, but I’ve heard that this is all normal.
I also took my first solo trip out with the little guy. We went to the mall and the grocery store. I would have preferred a walk outside, but the weather was terrible. We almost had to abort the mission when he freaked out in the car on the way to the mall, but I was able to calm him down once we hit the parking lot. I think he panicked as he had to go more than 30 seconds without someone instantly responding to his cry. He was very good on our trip and I felt very relieved to have gotten the first solo outing over with.
