Home Landscaping

Ajax had his first trip to Home Depot (the first of many to come I am sure).  He was quite interested in all the activity around him.  We had to pick up mulch and some yard stuff.  We’ve only been in this house, what 4 years now?, I guess we should do some landscaping.  We’ve never really done much outside because we had to re-side the house and have new gutters put in.  Well now that that’s done, we felt we couldn’t put off the landscaping any longer.  Ya know we never expected to have kids in this house, this was only supposed to be a 3 year house, but after law school the market dropped out and well here we are plus one additional family member.  Ajax was a great help during the first stage of our landscape plan.  He was so content in his bouncy chair outside with us and then fell asleep for about 40 minutes.  What a little helper!

Stage 1: put in shurbs and flowers along the side of the house then add mulch. Stage 2 will be to add a border between the mulch and driveway and get two large flower pots for either side of the front steps.

For those who haven't been to our house in a while- this is the new back room. We tore off the old lean to that was the back entry way and rebuilt this room- a little dining area, pantry, closet, and added a door for the basement stairs.

This is the back of our home now, the grass is still coming in from where we had to rip up the soil to build. I plan on getting a little outdoor set so that we can sit under the maple tree. I also want to get a little baby pool for Ajax (but really so I can sit in it with this heat).
