French toast at Ikea

Dave, Ajax and I hit the road a little early this morning because we wanted to get our errands done quickly as Ajax is definitely teething and a little frustrated with the whole thing.   Our big errand was to finally buy a chest freezer.  We’ve been wanting one for years and finally decided we were going to get one.   We got to ABC Warehouse at 9:30 am, but apparently they don’t open till 10.

To waste some time we walked next door to Ikea.  Ikea actually doesn’t open till 10 either, but its cafeteria is open at 9, so we headed in and had breakfast (on a side note, I love Ikea, where else can you get a decent breakfast for two people under $6 bucks?).  Ajax ate a ton, he had french toast, eggs, potatoes, and some pancake!   I was shocked as he’d eaten before we left the house.  Anywho, at 10 we wandered back over to ABC and finally purchased our freezer.  It will be delivered on Wednesday, which is kind of bummer as I want it now (I know, childish).  Ajax was great the entire time; he such a happy little dude and smiled and waved at everyone.

Ajax fell asleep on the way home and I ever so carefully transferred him from the car seat to the house and into bed without waking him!  Of course as a parent the tough part is getting the coat off and I think it takes two parents to successfully pull it off.

My parents came in and watched Ajax for an hour while Dave and I went out.  Thanks!  My dad also babyproofed our kitchen cabinets, thank you!

Trying to get the sleeping nino to bed.
Ajax is beginning to understand spacial relationship and loves to stack things and put things away.

Standing

This evening Dave’s dad, Rod, came by to visit and have dinner.  Ajax was thrilled to see him and was honestly wired the entire time he was here.  I think he was showing off because at one point he went from a crawling position and then just stood right up!   He then stood there for a moment before kind of lunging at me.  This is the first time Ajax has done that!

Talking with grandpa.
Makin' a break for it.

11 Months Old!

Ajax is 11 months old today!  What a big boy.

Ajax is really getting the hang of repeating words and sounds.  My favorite is – ta da!  It’s just so cute.   He’s also saying dog, ball, na, ma and da!  Dave and I really need to start watching what we say as we have a little parrot on our hands.  I think his next word will be ba (for bottle).  He also loves to sing.  Yes, sing.  When we are in the car, we’ll sing along with the radio and Ajax will hum along with you.

Almost walking.
He has almost figured out how to turn his walker so that he doesn't keep walking into walls.
Ajax loves to hide things under the TV stand and then try and reach them
